Illness and Recovery

In an effort to fulfill the mitzvah of bikur cholim (visiting the sick), our clergy visit members who are hospitalized or recovering in the metropolitan area. Pastoral care is an important part of the mission at BHBE. Our clergy strive to meet the personal and emotional needs of our congregants. This is how we believe we continue to maintain our strong sense of community.

This has become increasingly difficult, as local hospitals cannot contact houses of worship due to HIPAA privacy regulations. Please call the office to advise us when you, a relative or a friend is in the hospital, so our clergy can be in touch.
