Come listen to Howard Reich, Author and Chicago Tribune Critic, discuss his sixth book,"The Art of Inventing Hope: Intimate Conversations with Elie Wiesel." Books will be available for purchase and to be autographed. Light refreshments will be served at 12:30pm and the programs starts at 1pm. Thursday, February 6, 2020: Rabbi Crane’s evening class, Contemporary Jewish Legal Issues. Join us at 8pm to learn through Orthodox, Conservative and Reform Movement responsa. We will delve deeply into modern day halakhic (Jewish legal) issues, such as: What time does Shabbat begin and end if you are on the International Space Station? Is lab-grown meat kosher?
Friday, February 7, 2020: CHUSY Interchapter Shabbaton. BHUSY, AMUSY and BJUSY, are having an intershapter Shabbaton from February 7 - February 8.

Israeli director Eran Riklis (“Lemon Tree”) sheds light on Middle East frictions through the prism of a wedding between Druze bride-to-be Mona and a Syrian actor, who's a stranger to her. There will be an engaging conversation lead by Jonathan Lehrer and unlimited popcorn, candy, soda, and hot drinks! $10 suggested donation to the Tikva Frymer-Kensky Adult Education Fund.

Wednesday, March 11, 2020: Stay Safe and Balanced. At 1:30pm join the L'Chaim Lifers and Illinois Bone and Joint Institute for this great program. We will learn about balance, fall prevention and Tai Chi and do an activity. Wear clothes you can move in and gym shoes! There will be light refreshments.
Sunday, March 15, 2020: Man and Youth of the Year Dinner. Come to BHBE as we will be honoring Steven Bucksbaum and Rebecca Aisenberg, 4:30pm silent auction, 5:30pm dinner. $36 per person if registered by March 4, $45 after.
