If we pull together as a community and each of us contribute a little (or a lot) more than last year we can make the most of this great opportunity. This is a great way to demonstrate what BHBE and our special community means to you. Now is the time to step up!

COMMUNITY
The ARK All over the world, Jews fast on Yom Kippur, but everyday some Chicagoland Jews go hungry because they simply do not have the means to purchase enough food. When you fill a grocery bag with food for The ARK, you are directly providing nourishment for our friends and neighbors facing adversity. Bags will be available to fill with kosher food items and toiletries. Congregants will return them to BHBE from 9/9-10/24. These items will be delivered to The ARK and then distributed through its Food Pantry to the most vulnerable members of our community, which provide kosher food for approximately 1,500 individuals every month. We have bags available, and the collection bins are in place.
The ARK is a nonprofit, community-funded social service agency with a mission to help Chicagoland Jews who are facing adversity navigate toward self-reliance. ARK professionals, volunteers and donors provide free, comprehensive services within a framework of Jewish values and laws.
